Annex Suspension Shines at Wekfest San Jose
This past Sunday, Annex Suspension had a booth at Wekfest San Jose, showcasing four impressive cars equipped with Annex suspension coilovers. As Bay Area locals, we felt it was essential to represent at this significant event.
About the Display Cars:
JAS Motorsports 25 Hour of Thunderhill K-powered Civic:
Eric brought their JAS Motorsports 25 Hour of Thunderhill K-powered Civic all the way from Tracy to feature at our booth. The car is undergoing some major changes and wasn’t running, so we had to push it up a series of loading dock ramps to reach the venue. It was well worth the effort!
Marcus Fry’s 700HP Datsun 510:
Marcus took time off his busy schedule to drive his 700HP Datsun 510 to the event. He’s sporting a brand new wrap courtesy of @sfgwraps and a completely custom-built coilover system we developed using 3D scanning and CAD modeling. Currently, he runs in the 1’30” range at Laguna Seca, and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next.
Loreto’s EK Civic:
Loreto’s EK Civic was a delightful surprise at our booth. We initially developed our EK Civic coilover on Loreto’s car when it was a mostly stock CTR clone. Now, it features a livery inspired by a period McLaren F1 GTR, with some San Jose Teal flair added to the color scheme. We were honored to see the Annex logo incorporated into the design!
Bryan’s GR Corolla:
We proudly displayed our good buddy Bryan’s GR Corolla, the car we used to test and develop our first inverted coilover setup for the GR Corolla. Without Bryan’s help in lending us his car and providing product feedback, we wouldn’t have the GR Corolla coilover setup we have today. Thank you, Bryan!
Huge Thanks and Giveaways:
We want to extend a huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the Annex booth and participated in our raffle and spin-the-wheel giveaways! We gave away a free set of Swift Springs courtesy of Swift Springs, ITB shot glass cups from Battle Garage Racing Service, and an Annex ride height tool.
