Genuinely Driven

We weren’t satisfied with the suspension industry, so we changed it.

Our Back Story

Our Back Story

WHO WE ARE

Annex Suspension Group™ began as a way to solve a problem: We wanted a suspension that would perform on the weekends and still be comfortable on our daily commute. Unfortunately, looking at the coilover options on the market, we saw nothing that really fit our needs…
So we decided to build our own.
Our team is all aligned to the same goal – maximizing the enjoyment of driving the car you love, every day. We are #genuinelydriven
Meet the team behind the innovation:

Ezekiel Lee

Operations/Social Media Marketing

“Ezekiel is a washed up dealership technician with more than 15 years of being a hack in the automotive industry. He wears an ASE Master Certified patch on his right shoulder, but is probably just faking the funk.

Ever see crude humor or poor acting in our social media? You can blame him and his poor taste.

Ezekiel is a lifetime loyal AE86 Toyota Corolla enthusiast and HPDE nut, but should probably just do society a favor and get rid of his rusty crap box by now.”

Grant Hendricks

Product Manager

“I’ve been passionate about suspension design and vehicle setup for as long as I remember. My first track car was an Alfa Romeo that had virtually no support so I had to develop or modify my own suspension parts. That pursuit of performance set me on a life-long quest for knowledge in the performance industry.”

Estefany Alfaro

Social Media & Marketing

“Growing up, my family didn’t have a vehicle. I was forced to take public transportation for 18 years. The entire time all I could dream about was getting my first car. I started to obsess over which car I would get first as soon as I got my driver’s license. That’s where my passion for cars stemmed from.

My first car was a manual 2008 Mini Cooper, which I learned how to drive the same day I purchased it. Once I got my Subaru BRZ, I loved how the car felt and drove, especially on local back roads. I eventually wanted to become better as a driver, so I started to participate in local track events and autocross.

I’m grateful to be a part of a team like Annex, where we all share the same passion for motorsports.”

Lance

Research & Development Operations

“Started modding and racing cars while I was in the Airforce. We were stationed in the middle of nowhere and nothing else to do, so we built cars and raced. Grip, Drift, Autox, Drag, all of it.

I’ve always been into older Toyota and BMW’s. I currently own an AE86, AE71, E30, RA21, and a WRX hatch.

My background in Aircraft maintenance and electrical – mechanical / test engineer experience from my time at Google x and other Tech start-ups go hand in hand with my automotive hobbies.”

Skyler Burton

Production Member

“I got into cars relatively late. I simply didn’t understand what all the hype was about until I started driving. I was lucky that my dad was insistent that my first car was a manual, and after I got behind the wheel everything made sense.

From then on I dedicated myself to trying to catch up in terms of driver experience. During the last 2 years, I have made so many new friends and driven all over California from Thunderhill to Chuckwalla, and I am super happy to have found myself here at Annex.”

Keith Hargrove

Research and Development

“I’m particularly good at taking out-of-the-box approaches to solve difficult problems. I have 25+ years of experience with hardware and software development, including the creation of one of the first programmable fuel injection systems with full sequential fuel and spark control. I’ve applied my background and created a stand-alone data acquisition system to collect shock position data on Annex RnD cars, which was a key insight into the valving technology Annex enjoys today.

In my spare time, I enjoy working on his classic Alfa Romeos and tinkering with various projects, the latest of which is a custom-designed tabletop CNC mill in my garage. Oh the possibilities!”

Tyler Colgett

Research and Development

“I am fortunate to come from a family with an automotive background and have grown up around classic cars. Later on, in life, I became interested in Autocross and developed my first-gen Honda Fit, and was able to eventually take home a regional SCCA championship. This experience has been great and the friends I have met through the autocross scene are irreplaceable.

When I’m not at work you can find me under my AE86 and Honda Fit, or 3D printing competitive Nerf guns – all of which are hobbies I hope to share with my son Lucas someday.”

Riku Yoshinaga

Design Intern

“I can to the US from Japan to study as a mechanical engineer. I was introduced to the California motorsports scene by a few competitors in the 86 Drive Challenge. Now I spend most of my weekends competing in multiple series with my supercharged BRZ. As a Mechanical Engineering student, Annex was the perfect environment to start applying what I’ve learned in school while working with other fellow enthusiasts.”

Jeff Wolfson

Production Member

“I got the nickname “Wildman” being a wild child and also because of my wild driving style during my Pro1 Formula D career. I am very dedicated and I believe if you’re going to go for it, then do it to the fullest.”

WHAT WE DO

We have spent an unfathomable amount of hours designing, measuring, logging, road testing, and manufacturing to ensure that each of our products meets or exceeds our customer’s individual needs.
Performance and comfort can go hand in hand. A suspension designed just to go fast simply isn’t enough – comfort is also required to truly enjoy your vehicle throughout its life cycle. Our products are designed to inspire you to keep what you love for the many miles ahead.

WHY WE DO IT

We do it for the automotive enthusiast community.
We started this journey to solve a problem we personally faced, but realized we were not the only ones facing this problem.
Just like us, many haven’t found a product that offers the right combination of performance, balance, comfort, quality, and value.
Our commitment to you: We don’t settle for second best. We believe in our product and tailor each product to fit each customer’s individual needs. YOU as the customer are the priority.
